I got my new protocol today – microdose lup.ron with 375 gon.al f and 75 meno.pur per day – I have never done this protocol and I would love anyone else’s experience with it.
The schedule is as follows:
1/14-1/27 BCP
2/2/09-2/22/09 BCP
2/25/09 Start microdose lup.ron, get baseline ultrasound and blood work
2/27/09 Start Stims
3/9/09 Retrieval and Mr. M’s PESA
It is good to have a plan.
I finally got a call back from CC.RM – I had called them about the shared risk program – not a bad deal 29k – you have to have certain criteria like FSH less than 10 and estradiol less than 75 on the day they test your baseline – I forget what else…but if one cycle is 20k or more – I think we may look into the shared risk if this one fails. They also look at your past IVF history and so far I have two chemical pregnancies and a canceled cycle under my belt…

Yay! So glad (and jealous!) that you have a plan! Hope to be right there with you, Lisa, since my clinic doesn’t do BCP first.
I’ve done microdose Lupron, but my Menopur was 150, Bravelle was 600 (instead of Gonal F, I think). Lupron never gave me grief, I think because it was such a low dose.
I hope this protocol works so well that you don’t need to go deal with the shared risk program. Yay for a new cycle!

what is the microdose lupron?
I’ve never done microdose Lupron, but I have been on the other drugs. Your doctors decided to go more aggressive this time, right? Therefore the doses (which are higher than my last protocol) seem ok.
The duration of the BCPs is sort of like what they had me on, so my cycles were shortened for the last couple of months before I started Lupron / stims.
The only difference was, I was on Lupron for 10-11 days before I started stims.
