35 weeks today!!! Woo hoo!!! I am so happy to have made it this far – the babies are fully developed at this point – I would like some additional time for them to fatten up and for their brains to continue developing…however, things may go faster than I thought…
I woke up this morning feeling “off” – just not right – and I felt like “something was different”. TMI coming – my poo has been harder than diamonds – and harder than hell to pass – but this morning, it was very, very loose and there was quite a bit…I also had some cramping. I had a doctor’s appointment at 2:00 – and low and behold, I am 50% effaced, baby boy is in -2 station and my cervix is beginning to open – the external opening to my cervix is open – big enough for her to fit her finger – but the cervix is internally closed so officially not dilated yet. My doc said that all my symptoms point towards labor beginning – but also reminded me that it could be a fast (within days) process or a slow (a week or so) process. BTW – the in office ultrasound revealed that both Sugar and Spice are head down!!!!!
Part of me was relieved to know that things are happening but I also want them to bake for a bit longer…I wanted to celebrate the kickoff so Mr. M and me went out to eat to one of my favorite spots…Beni.hana! His son is also away this weekend so we have the weekend to ourselves!!

I’ve been having a lot of hip pain, and then when I went back to work this week I’ve been having some pain in the pubic bone (like something’s pinching really hard). I don’t know if it’s PSD, but some of the suggestions about pain relief are interesting.

I definitely recommend going out for the “last night” with your hubby. You never know when those babies will decide to come. We did that for 3 weeks thinking that they would come ANY DAY. Low and behold, they came at 38 weeks!
Yay! I am so thrilled for you! Wouldn’t it be amazing if our babies shared a birthday!?

How exciting! I haven’t had a chance to update my blog yet, but I went to my appointment yesterday (Thursday) and we were also 50% effaced and a finger-tip externally dialated. My doctor is out of town this next week and said he would recommend staying off my feet if I wanted him to deliver the babies. Its all becoming VERY real…

Wow! I can’t believe you are practically on the eve of delivery. What a journey. As others have said, do enjoy this time as a couple with your husband. There is something magical about the time just before birth.

WOW WOW WOW L! I am getting goosebumps, I am so excited for you. Please please update us frequently (and you have my email…). Of course as excited as I am for you, you know I am also scared poopless because once you go, I know that I am coming up next. GULP.
Btw, love that top too. Today I tried on a top that was way too small (that I’m pretty sure I wore during my third trimester before). Eek.

I am so absolutely, incredibly happy that you and the little ones have made it here to 35 weeks and you are all doing fine. Hoping that they bake a little while longer too (my poll vote was for 37 weeks). Your top is truly cute and I love that you got to go out with your hubby. It is so exciting that in such a short time you will get to meet them. WOW!
